In addition to the dewalt battery adaptor, I have also started using a 12 lithium jump start pack. In both cases, I had to kludge power cables…. This is a simple one-

Amazon has a 3 way 5.5mm x 2.5mm barrel plug splitter

Adaptor

I figured that the three plugs would connect to the battery, radio, and tuner. At the moment that’s all I can think I would need in the field.

So the proof of concept worked flawlessly. On a side note, charging the internal IC705 battery is more than the jumpstart pack can handle….

Now, o decided one more modification would make this cable more useful. I could package it with a power pole to 5.5mm x 2.5mm cable (both of mine got stolen by the lab)… or… why waste the adaptor?

It was easy enough to hack off the socket and put on power poles. That being said, I bought a 2 pack from Amazon, so I kept one original, and can use the power supply I normally use for only the radio. It’s a versatile setup overall…
