an Iowa loose-meat sandwich knockoff, with a slight change
cut top and bottom of onion off
slice onion in half, and remove peel
run onion over cheese grater to shred it finely
brown ground meat and shredded onion in frying pan
in a large sauce pan, mix Worcestershire, soy sauce, bouillon cubes, and apple cider vinegar. stir over low to medium heat until bouillon cubes are dissolved
add meat to sauce pan, and mix well, coating meat with sauce (a whisk works well for this)
clean frying pan of grease and meat/onion debris
spray pan with cooking spray, and place on stove over medium-high heat
butter white bread on one side
place buttered bread (buttered size down) in frying pan
place 1 slice of american cheese on each piece of bread
spoon meat-sauce-onion mixture onto the top of the cheese
once bread starts to toast, flip one piece of bread and cheese onto the top of the meat mixture (to make a sandwich)
flip sandwich as necessary to ensure both sides are toasted
remove from pan and serve. Goes well with ketchup or plain.
